Academic Standing and Student Wellbeing
Lincoln is known for its academic endeavours and academic support systems.
Lincoln residents need to make adequate progress throughout the year in their studies. Students who fail to do so will receive counselling and advice from senior staff and tutors. We want our students to be the best that they can be and endeavour to help them achieve this.
We achieve this by providing all our residents with APS (Academic Peer Support), Student Wellbeing Officers, and Residential Tutors.
The following academic support services are available to our residents:
Learning Resource Centre
Lincoln College has an excellent library stocked with over 7000 items on a broad range of subjects. These materials include textbooks, reference books, fiction and a variety of magazines. Residents may access the library at all hours. It aims to offer a pleasant, friendly and supportive learning environment for the residents.
The Computer Lab
There are 7 PCs and a Macintosh computer in the computer lab. All PCs are installed with MS Office suites to facilitate general word processing and spreadsheet design. Other specialist software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are available in the Macintosh computer to support our architecture and design students. These computing facilities are available on a first-come-first served basis.
Residents may also make use of the printer/fax/photocopier, book binding machine and laminating machine to process their coursework.
Mentoring Opportunities
Lincoln believes that mentoring and networking are the ad-on benefits of college life. We ensure that opportunities such as Mentoring Dinners, Alumni events and Guest speakers are organised on a regular basis throughout the year to encourage discussion and networking.
Study Spaces
We are fortunate to have several small study rooms available to residents for most of the year. Some of these spaces are available to residents all year and others can be booked through the office.
