As a member of the Lincoln community, you can get involved in wide variety of sporting, cultural and social activities, regardless of your skill level.
Orientation Week (or O’Week) at College starts when new residents arrive on the Saturday prior to university orientation. We provide a family BBQ for new residents, their parents and siblings. Then we start our residents on the journey to becoming a Lincolnite with an induction session on the Saturday afternoon. Parents get a chance to chat with the Principal and Dean who can reassure them about leaving their children in our care! On Sunday morning there is a farewell brunch, so families can say goodbye, and then for the rest of the week there is a wide variety of great activities to familiarise new residents with their new home, their fellow Lincolnites, and the surroundings of North Adelaide and Adelaide.
All week long the Residential Advisors, Academic Team and College Club organise activities to enjoy before university lectures start. Events range from our legendary Barnyard Dance, and the Scavenger Hunt, through to daily sports, Building Parties, getting-to-know-you activities, Academic meetings, Beach Day, and much, much more. By the end of the week, Lincolnites will have made some great friends, will know everything they need about their responsibilities at College and university and will be ready to get the year off to a great start.
