At Lincoln, there are some great social events that are always popular on the calendar and the best part, for most of them, they’re free to participate in, with the exception of the Lincoln Ball.
Here’s a sneak peak of just some of the great events you’ll experience at Lincoln.
Orientation week, commonly known as O’week begins when new residents arrive on the Saturday before the university O’week. It is a fun filled week as residents are welcomed to Lincoln.
All week, Residential Advisors, the Academic Team and College Club organise activities to enjoy before university lectures start. Events range from the legendary Barnyard Dance and Scavenger Hunt, through to daily sports, getting-to-know-you activities, academic meetings, beach days and much, much more. By the end of the week, Lincolnites will have made great friends and memories and are ready to get the year off to a great start.
International Night is held in the first semester and celebrates the diversity within the Lincoln community. Dinner of the chosen country is served whilst residents enjoy a show involving fun games, trivia quizzes and a selection of performances from peers.
Music Night is held in the second semester and is an entertaining evening that offers a chance for residents to perform on stage. Performances from the band, solo artists, student leadership bodies and even the Dean of Students are enjoyed. Praise follows the outstanding acts for weeks!
Perhaps the biggest social event of Lincoln is the Ball, held at a beautiful off-site venue and served a delicious meal with champagne, our residents enjoy an evening of glamour.
One of the final social events of the year, Valedictory Dinner is a final goodbye to departing residents and a chance to wish them well on their next stage of life.
