What's on in Adelaide
With Term 2 starting, and mid-year exams looming in the distance, many students will be looking for things to help them de-stress in the coming months. Although March is known as Adelaide’s busiest month, there is still much to do in and around the city. With April now in full swing, we thought we’d take a look at what’s on in Adelaide.
The Wizard of Oz is showing at the Adelaide Festival Centre. All the loved characters and iconic moments return! Come and sing along to all the classics, as well as new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Lincoln residents have already gone along to have a look and they strongly recommend it! International student Emily Lee even got to meet Trouble and Flick, the little dogs who take turns playing Toto, thanks to animal handler Luke Hura. You can buy tickets here.
Tasting Australia has set up shop in Victoria Square, but you’ll also find them in spots around the city. Events, masterclasses, and gin tastings -- there is much to see and do. But get in quickly, it all finishes up on the 22nd of April. Visit the Tasting Australia website to find out more here.
Groovin the Moo is almost here, if someone hasn’t already told you! 27th of April baby. With great acts like Ball Park Music, Flight Facilities, Duke Dumont, Alex Lahey, Skegss, Winston Surfshirt, Portugal. The Man, Vera Blue, Tkay Maidza, Ocean Alley, and so much more, it’s bound to be an awesome day! Remember to buy tickets through the official website here.
The Killers are coming, and somebody told me the show is set to be nothing short of Wonderful Wonderful. Stop listening to Mr. Brightside on repeat and come see it live. With support acts Alex Cameron and Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders locked in, the 8th May is sure to be a night of glamorous indie rock and roll. Get your tickets here now!
The AFL Showdown! Coming up on the 12th of May, hometown rivals Port Power and the Adelaide Crows are set to face each other in the first showdown of the year. Although it’s early days in the season, Port are currently sitting 5th on the ladder, while the Crows sit 9th. Who will triumph? Tickets are on sale April 18th at the box office, or online here.
